Greetings from Boone! I am writing to say hello and to check in with you. I hope this letter finds you well. Please know that you and your families are in our thoughts during this very tumultuous time.

Here at Appalachian State University we are working diligently to move our classes online and changing the way we do business. Many of our employees are able to work remotely, thanks to technology, and we are figuring it out as we go. I sympathize with our students, especially the seniors and freshmen, who are missing so much by not being on campus or engaging in face to face activities with their peers. We are trying to stay connected with them the best we can. I imagine they will have many stories to tell their future children and grandchildren about their unique experience as an App State student.

Although we had to postpone our Celebration of Giving last week, we want you to know that we are grateful to each and every one of you, for trusting and believing in Appalachian and the Beaver College of Health Sciences. We truly appreciate all of you for supporting student scholarships, helping us to outfit our classrooms and labs, providing travel and research support, and contributing to our successes in so many ways!
